i dont know why you would consider that amp seeing as how its about half the rms of one of the subs so theres no point in trying to power two with it. the mofo's can take a good amount of power so dont starve them. if youre gonna get two of those subs you can either get a bigass 2+ kilowatt amp or two strapable 1000+ watt amps.
how much do you have to spend on an amp? that is gonna be the deciding factor.
If you get one amp and one sub should be fine. Plan on taking up about half of your trunk space with the box and amp. 740 watts is enough. I think if you gave the sub the 1200 watts it was rated as, it would sound shitty anyways. But i'll add my dumb 2 cents in and say i wouldnt trust power acoustics

if he does one amp per sub hes not gonna be able to get the setting (gain, lowpass, subsonic) absolutely matched unless he has the tools to do it like an oscope which are expensive.
740 watts isnt really enough. adding more wont make it sound shitty; it will just get louder. plus that power acoustik amp probably doesnt put out what its rated at. i wouldnt trust them either but the mofo actually is a good sub if you want cheap spl.
big_p31, you dont need a cap. just put a good battery under the hood. your lights might dim a little but its not a big deal.
well i really think if u get 2 amps for the sub u will def need a cap... which will run u another 100...despite what anybody say u cant/shouldnt run 2 amps on a battery... u'll have to get a new battery every winter...
so my 2 cent , go wit the 1amp and 1 sub, u can always add on later if u dont have enough right? also i dont trust power ac as well...if ur around that price range , kenwood is a good choice...kenwood amps are under rated, but they are really really good for the price....
the amp will power the sub... but i highly doubt if you'll be satisfied with the boom you'll get. Try getting one of the Class D amps from SoundStream (i.e. Tarantula) or similar... basic note is that if your Sun requires 1200WRMS, get an amp that delivers 1200WRMS.
