I don't have any experience with it, but from looking at it it looks a bit unpredictable. The first part of the insert would work as a loading wall, but only for half of the speaker cone, and the second part appears to be rather large and short for a port, I don't think it would work well with a large selection of drivers, and as an added bonus they have choked the end of the port, which is just asking for a large quantity of port noise.

Adjustable ported boxes aren't a new idea though, competitors have been using them for quite while now, I have been playing with one in my own car, and it's fun to be able to experiment a bit, however the well proven adjustable design gets me a lot of comments like "is that a potato gun?" or "why does your box have a sewer pipe on it?" Basically it isn't pretty (see below) I think that you would be best off designing a box for your specific drivers, and the types of music you listen to. A bad box can make a $1000 driver sound like ass, but a good box is bliss.

To change the port length I can cut some off, or easily replace the whole port, to reduce the box size I can invert the driver or attach small wood blocks inside of the box. I don't need to change the port width because 4" is already a bit small and increasing it would require the port to be longer, long enough to stick out the side window. My non adjustable box has a folded port over twice as long (55").

But it is not anywhere near being good looking.

hmmm. well it has a sliding adjustment door on it for tuning it said for just about any sub. for youre inverted project one you got just take some electrial tape and cover that white pipe up wraping it around and around it.. id be afraid someone would bust my window out and steal that sexy sub. i like tint!. what sub is that and whats youre box design?. i might try to build that myself.? i liked it a lot. anyways..

i got a 12" sub im looking at now im thinking about making an inverted or some type of custom box for. im a huge fan of horn loading. i had a hatch back that was the loudest most satisfying system ive ever had. miss it a lot and im still trying for that again. i liked the wicked one box they have there but it just costs to much. with the death box its small enough were i can add another if needed.

also they added the choke because it increases woofer damping over the whole cone area. they tore up like 800 subs designing this box thuse the name. death box lol. ive heared some having port noise at highest voloume but ill just add some soft felt over that, itll stop it if it does have any.

im not sure but i think they make a single 10" version and a dual 12 and 10" version of the box. im going to have to inquire about it. i need just 1 10" version for a DVC 4 ohm mono 2 0hm load to my pioneer 1200 watt-600 rms mono amp i got.

Link to the sub, it's just a TC Sounds sub with a titanium cone and can take a bit more power. I have anouther one for my permanent box, if I ever finish fiber glassing it...

The box in the pic is pretty simple, 1cf with a 24" X4 external port.

The other box is a bit more complicated. It's two separate boxes build into one, with separate 1.2cf chambers and separate 3"x10"x55" ports for both subs, it also uses my rear window as a loading wall.

I also have two 1cf sealed boxes that sound good, but aren't very loud.

cool beans. i think that sub would work great according to its specs in a death box. i wanted to make a box like youres with the pipe and do a 12" mtx thunder 3000 svc sub i got laying here for fun.. but i cant find anyone that knows what inches i need so i can make a box according to its specs sadly. i tried the box calculator and got nowhere fast. i got 19" x 19" x 18" and it was still off.
