quick question about wiring (diamond audio)

I just received two diamond audio 1" aluminum tweeters. The problem is I dont know which is positive and which is negative. I dont want to set up my tweeters backwards. There is two black wires, one with a white stripe on it. Does the white line indicate that its a Positive or Negative wire. I hooked it up both ways to my computer speakers and i'm leaning toward the white line meaning positive because the way it sounds. Can anyone confirm or correct me on this?

I remember on several occasions where the positive was the odd (striped) wire....and i remember occasions when the stiped one was negative. Not sure if car audio and home audio is different. But are you positive without a doubt that the WHITE striped wire is negative? (usually, black stipe means negative)

maybe not always but usually. just hook it up and see.

I tried to hook it up and it seems like it sounds a little better with the white stripe being positive (very little). However, it is extremely hard to tell because its such a high frequency which is not easily distinguished.
