Amp for 2 of my Kenwood subs

Hey guys I currently have 2 Kenwood 12" 700W subs (KFC-W3005 see here http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2393) powered by a 600W 2-ch amp bridged (KAC-729S).

The problem is that the amp has a really crappy non-adjustable low-pass filter which sounds like crap when turned on so if I want to have good sound, I have to trade off power from my subs. Some guy had the exact same problem with his KAC-729S amp as well (http://www.epinions.com/content_37668621956).

So what I'm thinking is that I will use this amp to power new components that I will be getting (possibly Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1's or their REF6000CS) since they work really well as long as I don't have the low-pass filter turned on. Then I will get a new MONO amp for my subs. So basically I'm here to listen to your inputs as to what amp I should get. I've looked at some Kickers and JL's, but they're a tad bit out of my price range (somewhere around $400+ on eBay). My budget is around $200, maybe a little bit more, but not by much. Anybody have any opinions on a Kenwood D-block shown here? http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2424. It's a bit pricier than what I have in mind but I'm willing to consider it since this is probably one of the cheapest amps I've found.

And please don't suggest "your subs suck, get better ones" or "your current amp sucks, get a new one" since I'm a poor college student who doesn't want to get rid of perfectly good audio hardware.

prophesized:

I'm pretty sure I have single voice coil subs. You can check the link I posted to them on Kenwood's site that describes them in more detail.

IBAID:
As for the Kenwood mono, I didn't say that I'm not into Kenwoods anymore (in fact I love them for their low prices), but I'm just not too sure how good their mono sub is. Has anyone had experience with the KAC-X810D? The URL for its description is here: http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2424. It certainly has the looks. In fact, due to its price, it's actually on the top of my list right now. I was just hoping someone might give me some other comparable options.

As for my KAC-729S, I just don't feel like I'm getting enough power out of my subs with that particular amp. I'm pretty sure the subs can pound a lot harder than they can now, but I think the KAC-729S is holding it back. I mean, I can turn on the low pass filter, but I lose a lot of the details in the sound and in addition, the distortion that comes up causes my car to rattle like a cheaply made Saturn. I know the KAC-729S is a good amp, but it's probably better suited to run a pair of speakers more so than a pair of subs.

The W3005s are SVC'd subs. The 810D should be fine; take a look at the 8151D as well.

I have no idea what rms my subs have. That's one thing I hate about Kenwood advertising is that it's rare that they state rms figures. I thought I read somewhere that realistically the x810d only puts out around 300rms x1 @4 ohms anyways, which would be a good match for the subs (assuming ~300rms wattage).

If I buy the amp, it'll probably be off eBay for about $280-$300 (x810D). I'm drawn in by its aesthetics over the kac8101... ooooooooohhhh yeah I know I'm the perfect target for those bastards in marketing.

Stevethecleric:

I'm not sure if 400wattx1 @4ohms is an rms rating. Can someone confirm that it is? Unlike other companies, Kenwood's not one to list RMS on their product descriptions.
