Sub and Amp shot??

hey guys, i think my amp and sub are fried.. for the ones who have extensive knowledge on amplifier circuitry, here are the pics:

For the sub, I did not see anything visually wrong with the voice coils, but is only measuring .5 ohms of resistance at the coils. What does this mean? FYI it is a dual 4 ohm sub.

I don't think that you mentioned what type of sub you have, it may be able to be re-coned, as for the amp it looks like it might be a zenon motherboard, but I'm not sure, if it is DB-r should be able to rebuild it for less than to cost of a new one, if not they can still repair it, but they are really busy people and might not want to. You said that you have a new amp already, but you might be able to get it repaired and then sell it to recover some of your loss.

Did you hook up the +12V and ground backwards?

the sub is an old school RF HE Punch2. Resistance at the voice coils is .5ohm, so its something internal.

As for the amp, it is a Xtant A3001. I dont know what type of motherboard it is. I have purchased a new amp and sub already, but I will take a look at the website you provided.
