I have to ground the pink wire on my kenwood which was for the ebrake wire so that the dvd player will work while in motion.

Some LOCs have built in remote wire. If you won't use a LOC, you can use the cigarette lighter or some other ACC switched wire.

That's exactly what I plan to do. However my friend rather have the AMP turn on and off WITH the headunit. So back to my question, can I hook remote wire together with ACC power supply for headunit ?

Yes I do have a non used pink wire. Is grounding that wire the only option ? Can it be connected to another negative wire ?

If you are using a stock HU or some weird HU that doesn't have a trigger wire, there really isn't an easy choice other than the two I mentioned above. I guess a third could be using a relay and a manual switch so he can turn on and off as he pleases.

Ok, It's been 2 months and the system works perfectly fine except for that pink wire u mentioned. I actually was using my ipod most of the time so it didn't bother me much. But recently I digged up some nice classic CDs, so can someone clarify to me one last time what i need to do with the pink (safety) wire ?

Do I have hook it up to a negative wire or do I have to ground it to metal frame ?

Thanks,
