Sony 2 ways to sony 4 ways speakers?

Hi
I replaced my factory Toyota front speakers in Christmas with Sony 2 ways 190W Sony XS-GT1626A 6-1/2" 2-Way Speaker ,I have a brand new Pioneer AVH-P4100 head unit, those speakers are good but because I have only 2 speakers on the front of the car I feel the sound quality is not perfect, there are not good separations of different instruments when you hear a Jazz song for exemple if you see what I mean,so I saw the other day a pair of Sony 4 ways 300W with apparently better materials Sony XS-GTX1640 6-1/2" 4-Way Speaker, so my questions are:
-getting a 4 ways instead of the 2 ways I have will give me richer music with clearer sound?
-300W instead of 190W will give me way better bass or the difference in wattage will be swallowed by the 2 additional ways?
I am talking about this Sony because it's the only model I can get with the 60$ coupon gift I have for Virgin store(yes it costs only 60$ don't ask me how) so please don't talk about other brands

If you want the best sound, get a decent set of components and forget about 2-ways, 3-ways coaxials. Coaxials do not have a proper crossover and it's difficult to get each driver to reproduce only a certain range of frequencies. Usually what I see is a filter cap that blocks lower frequencies to the higher frequency drivers, but nothing to block the low frequency drivers from reproducing high frequencies. A crossover will ensure that each driver only reproduces a certain range; the mid will not reproduce high frequencies as in a coaxial.

Components can be more difficult to install because you have 3 things to mount, mid, tweeter, and crossover. For best sound reproduction, you generally want the tweeter close to the mid. Initially I wanted the tweeter higher to raise the sound stage, but I haven't really found it to be an issue even though my tweeter is in the doors near my knees.

When you look at speakers and amps, you need to look at the RMS power handling not the peak value. In this case, it's 40W and 75W. The RMS value is how much power the drivers can handle continuously while peak is a momentary spike. Higher power handling will not mean better sound. If you are only using an in-dash unit, you won't get more than about 20W RMS per channel out of any unit. You need an external amplifier to get more power than that.

Thank you dude!
But as I said it's a choice between keeping my actual Sony 2 ways and upgrading to a ''free'' 4 ways thanks to a coupon.
And anyway I don't have the places to add more speakers,it's a basic Rolla 09

I don't think that a 4-way coaxial is going to help you at all.

Also, if you want to to sound good, steer clear of Sony altogether...I've yet to hear anything of theirs that was worth a turd compared to other equipment on the market.

I wouldn't bother going from 2 ways to 4 ways. There won't be enough of a difference to be worth the cost and effort IMO.

don't bother if that's your only choice, not worth the hassle.
