Gen6 Dash Speakers?

Hey I am a certified Noob, I just bought a 2009 Camry LE first Toyota. I am looking to upgrade the sound system form bone stock, base system. I am wondering what peeps have done for dash speakers, I am thinking about Alpine components for the doors but What have people done with the dash? I was told that all you can fit in them are 3.5 in? The 3.5 in that I have seen suck They only take 20-30 watts. I am planning on using a Alpine PDX5 amp. It puts 75 to them. It seems that most peoples build sheets rate them at about 100watts per.

The front sound stage is very important to me. I hate having all the sound coming from your knees!!

P { MARGIN: 0px } UL { MARGIN-TOP: 5px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 5px } OL { MARGIN-TOP: 5px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 5px } It has been my experience in the past that if you want a better sound stage, like you are at the concert, the more sound you can get from the dash the better it is. I have had good systems with just door speakers but it always seems off to me How big can you go in the doors? Can you put a 6.5 component with the tweet also in the door? Or is a 5.25 it if you want to put the tweeter from the components with the woofer in the door. Is the stock dash speaker just a tweet? I was thinking about buying the JBL dash speakers from the dealer but they didn't know what size it was or even the watts or ohms. Maybe just some 6.5 components with the tweet from the set in the dash? I am afraid that might be to bright, and make the sweet spot very narrow, as tweets are so directional.

I am sure someone has figured it out by now, this is the third year of this body style. Thanks for any tips or suggestions in advance!

I have a 6.5" Rainbow component set in the front doors where the original 6x9s used to be.

Right now, I'd say the sound stage is about where my gauges are despite that the tweeters are in the door.
