Does any one know of if the 08-09 TOYOTA BLU LOGIC BLUE TOOTH handsfree kit is A2DP complient? Is there any way to verify this? Im curious to know how you know.
I recently updated my iphone to the 3.0 developers gold update. I tested to see if the radio bluetooth would work and i didnt see the icon that should have appeared to allow me to stream my music through the bluetooth speakers.
I contacted toyota to get more info and they have no information regarding the kit or even any contact info for the actuall manufacturer to ask wether its A2DP complient. Does anyone have any info or have hands on knowledge with regards to this matter? Thanks
I got this info off the Toyota.ca web-site http://www.blulogicupdate.com/?page=welcome&lang=eng. Some info but not very detailed. I ordered one for my 09 Corolla, should be in tomorrow. I'm not 100 percent sure, but I think this system is made by "Vizualogic". It's similar to the Cig-Blu. Vizualogic is a TMI company which is also stated in the provided link.
Do you happen to know what model or version you have? I compared my manual to yours and i dont have none of those pages. On the front of my manual it says Ver: NSTOY-A 2.2. Im not sure if thats the specific model i have.
Does anyone know if Toyota released a A2DP model and a Non A2DP model? or is A2DP a standard for all Toyota BT kits?
Did you buy the Genuine Toyota BLU Logic kit (P/N PT923-00090) from the dealer or was it a Vizualogic BLU Logic kit off of eBay? Just picked up my kit this morning and the manual is the same as "pedron". The cover of the user manual only has Toyota BLU logic on the front cover. It shows the interface button which is installed in one of the spare knock-outs. There's several Toyota BLU Logic kits with the other P/N's ending in 91, 92 or 94. My local dealership also stocks a different Blue-tooth kit (not BLU Logic) which I almost bought but realized that it was not what I wanted. It works similar to the BLU logic but the interface is a stick-on switch module.

See this is where the confusion is, i bought the kit from the dealer. But im dont know exactly which model i have. All i have is the manual that says Toyota Blue. The manual is completely different from Pedron. The button is the same but other than that i have no way to confirm if its a2dp compatible.

I think you got had my friend. My kit is genuine toyota with part number of PT923-00090. Maybe they sold you a kit for a different car, but this part number PT923-00090 is for the 2007-2010 camry.
Ok last question, would any one know if the Vizualogic BLU Logic is a2dp complient at all?
Here's a link to CIG-Blue user manual by Vizualogic http://www.vizualogic.com/images/pdf...al_English.pdf. They're several vehicle specific Vizualogic kits on eBay (search - Toyota blue-tooth). They come with adapter harnesses and the Toyota kit has the same input switch as the Toyota BLU-Logic system. When I tried to order P/N PT923-00090 for my 09 Corolla in Canada, the P/N came up as discontinued. My dealer didn't know about the BLU-Logic system that I wanted. They sold a completely different Blue-Tooth kit. I was provided with P/N PT923-00094 after contacting Toyota Canada about my concerns. There's a kit P/N PT923-00091 which is the same unit but has a slightly larger switch for some specific applications (some Toyota trucks have larger blank switch knock-outs). I've temporarily installed it in the Corolla to make sure it functions OK (everything works great). I haven't done a permanent installation because I would like to see if it will work in my 05 Highlander (not listed as compatible but both vehicles use the same 6, 10 and 12pin connectors on the head-units).

No sir. I'll see if I can get a picture if you need. BTW if thats the kit you bought, it's not Blu Logic. I'm not sure who made yours, it looks like Vizulogic or something. I bought my kit from the local dealership parts dept. It came in a genuine toyota parts box. I would take that back to where you bought it and insist on Blu Logic.

I was just trying to figure out which kit 'blkmagik' has. My manual is the same as your's 'pedron". Just remember that if you are looking for A2DP compliant unit that the streaming audio will be limited to the front speakers with only 10W of peak power from the BLU-Logic module.
