Opinions on Audiocontrol Epic Center?

Hey guys, i thinking about getting a Audio Control Epic Center for my sound system. I was wondering will it make any big noticeable difference, like the bass is louder and lower, ect.? and you guys think its worth $140? i have a JL Audio 500/1v1 running a 10" MTX 8500 sub in a Super bass box. they for $137 on ebay and my local shop sells them for $199.99.

If you listen to music that already has a lot of bass, it may not do much for you. If the bass in your music is lost from old tapes or records, then it might help. Or if you listen to music that doesn't have lot of bass to begin with it could be helpful.

In that case, the epic center is not going to help much.

I disagree. I've used this product years ago and recently bought one and will use it again when I build my system for my car. The epicenter makes HUGE difference especially with hip hip/rap.

You also have to consider the enclosure your sub is in. I found that the epicenter does not work well with bandpass enclosures.

Just a warning though, your subs better be up to snuff to handle it. The epicenter makes the subs bounce!

i have a ported enclosure. The sub i have is a 10" MTX 8500 series sub rated a 500watts rms, and i have a jl audio 500/1 orginal slash series hooked up to it. you think it will make that much more noticeable improvement using the epic center?

cant remeber if it works good on ported boxes, but it wouldnt hurt to try it. If it doesnt work just seal up the port and she'll thump for sure
