Gen5 2006 camry info button

OK I've search some but can't clear info about this. Got 2006 camry xle with JBL oem stereo of course. Want to upgrade whole audio system. Crutchfield says "info" button on steering wheel will be no operable. I like checking my MPG so need to keep all the steering wheel audio functions. Is it possible? Also bypass the stock amp i'm sure I can do but do most people remove it or not. Thanks

well if you buy an aftermarket head unit from crutchfield, they'll certain have detailed instructions on how to hook it up to your aftermarket head unit. Anytime you buy a head unit or speakers from crutchfield, they include master data sheets free according to your vehicle. They're not really cheaper like most online stores, but you'll get the exact wiring harness and installation kit(s). Plus they have excellent customer support
