Hello, my stereo crapped out on my 93 corolla, and i was wondering if anyone can tell me how to remove it. I tried un screwing the two screws at the bottom of the plate that covers the fan controls/vents/stereo, but when i tried to remove the plate, it felt like something else was stopping it. I dont wanna wreck anything with my car. thanks to anyone who can help.
The two screws at the bottom are not relative to the bezel with the radio and AC controls, the radio bezel is held on solely with clips. To remove it, pull the knobs off the sliders, pry out the AC switch, and then pry the bezel off. It will come out enough for you to unplug the emergency flasher, rear window defroster, and clock. The you can then remove it completely and access the radio.
you can purchase a wiring harness from crutchfield for about $10 with a master data sheet. Usually they come free when you purchase a head unit from them

if those two harnesses came with your new hu, and the single harness that they connect to is the corolla model harness like you get at best buy, then your fine.
...that is for about a month until your sick of the weak sound in the speakers or you blow them out, whichever is first
Check your fuses 1st. I have the same style radio, I pulled it from my 96. Check the link in my sig.
