ive been on the market to find a receiver with a ipod docking station ever since i saw one produced by jvc(not a big fan of brand). Well i came across this boss 750di that has a motorized docking station. was just curious if anyone has seen or heard anything about this reciever and if its a decent one to purchase.

man, boss over jvc. damn, it's the opposite. From what I know that Boss is a cheap brand that produces crap. JVC is a better brand then BOSS. Trust me on this one, a lot of people should agree with me who know car stereo, that Boss is a brand you probably just stay away from. But if you want a dock for you ipod and you dont care about sound quality go for the BOSS brand, looks convinient. But you got to remember your source produces the sound, so in other words the loading dock still plays in the role of the quality of the music. Therefore I would get the JVC. I got JVC and not to seem like I'm a JVC fanatic or something, but I've been through a bunch of brands of decks. Out of Pioneer Priemer, Kenwood, Kenwood Excelon, Radio Shack(Pioneer brand version), Eclipse, Clarion, and JVC. Out of all the brands that I've used JVC was the best sounding, most options to choose from, and the longest lasting deck I've ever owned. I still have my first JVC deck 10 years ago, and it still sounds cleaner then half the decks out. That says something. I'm not saying to by the JVC. All I'm saying it not to buy the BOSS brand just because it looks good, cause I've know this brand for breaking also. Sonic Electronix only gives a year warranty too.

I know Alpines are supposedly very compatible with the IPODS. On Sonic Electronix they have several digital decks with docking cords for the ipods. These decks will definitely outperform the BOSS brand. This is a deck that I was considering to buy for my wife's car.
