trunk light. im stupid

Ok so this weekend i went out and bought a blue LED light for my trunk to kind of flaunt my subs. i thought it be cool. i thought i knew what i was doing. i was wrong. very wrong. i popped the factory light out and cut the wire.....yes i know...stupid. i thought i could just splice the wire but thats extremely har considering the amount of wire slack that is left from the factory light. what should i dooo??? im actually considering bringing it to the dealerhsip to have them just fix it. if they will even do that? and yes i know i will look like a dumbass

i believe you can find more wire to work with if you remove the cover to the rear deck.
