Vip Factory Security System Or Aftermarket??

I ordered a Camry XLE according to my specifications from the factory, including Smart Key. I have decided to have an aftermarket remote starter installed after the Camry arrives because I have learned that the Toyota remote starter is not nearly as good.

My question now is, "Should I have the VIP security system installed at the factory or should I have an aftermarket system installed? I will have the Smart Key.

Since I am having an aftermarket remote starter installed, should I choose an aftermarket alarm with that 2-in-1? Do I need the VIP system to be able to use the alarm button on the smart key? Thank you.

If you are getting an aftermarket remote start installed, you may as well get the alarm too. Many of them are 2 in 1. Some after market remotes have much longer range too - maybe 1000 ft or more with 2 way remote meaning it will confirm that the car is started or locked, or whatever command you issued.

The buttons on key will not work with the aftermarket alarm. There's a red panic button on the remote alread and you do not need the VIP system to make it work.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I just found out that ignition disable and alarm come standard with the Camry XLE, so I do not need an extra alarm. The remote start alone will be fine.
