excited about new stuff...

Just orded my new subs... first time having subs so i am really happy, just got a single kicker compcvr 12" and an mtx thunder 342 amp- sub is like 400 RMS and the amp puts out like 340 bridged... a little under powered, but i think it will be nice- just thought i would drop that line

I still am running my first pair of subs too. Its almost 4 years old already. Image Dynamics IDQ10's.

Hope the 1 12" sub will satisfy your bass needs.

Let me just say that you will never be satisfied. Hopefully you'll realize that sound quality is what you want more so than loudness (unless you also like big aluminum wings, 17+" rims on the rear wheels of a FWD car, neon lights galore, stickers, etc) and a rattling trunk. Just having bass is what you want, any bass is better than none, and any bass should be enough. Otherwise you'll end up like me, stuck between two stages with almost nothing, and it's horrible this way.

Nate, come back when you actually have the stuff

Nah, I'm happy for ya. I remember when I got my first system. I was excited just like you. I have to agree with Stealth. Looking back, I wish I had focused more on SQ than SP. SP is kewl in highschool to impress your buddies, but you're not playing it for them. It's for you.
I think you've scored some nice equipment though Let use know when it comes time to install. Don't forget to read my DIY: Sub and amp install in the sticky

oh no problem man- sub came to my house today... amp and box come friday- i am going home this weekend (my car is @ home not @ school with me) so i will install the stuff and take some pics of the end resultsand put them up.... installing an amp and a sub should not be very tough since i helped a buddy do his system and after all the other neons and elec crap i have done, i am not saying if is hard for you guys either, but i actually like installing stuff like that, the process is just as much fun cuz afterwards you are like i just finished time to bump

and yeah i have contemplated all the rants and raves abuot what to do with a system when you buy it... the thing is i really like the highs and mids i get from my factory system... just i love bass! too late to be showing my system off in highschool so i just can't wait to be bumping the hell outta this stuff when i am by myself! more than that i just can't wait till the summer when i can have my car back... but until this weekend I wait to get home and play

~~thanks for replies
nate
