Thumbs up Help with stereo connections

Hello everyone...i would like some help

I am installing two 12 subs and a 1000 -watt amp. I connected the amp to battery and grounded it already. i think i hooked up the REm to the wrong thing? Can i connect it to the accessory fuse in the driverside floor pannel?
Secondly i I bought an amp converter, I already ran the RCA cables from back to the front...when i took down the dash i did not know what to do with the line converter since none of the wires from the HU are labled....can some one help our provide a solution please.
I also was wondering if I could connect the LOC to the rear speakers thats right over the subwoofers....I dont need to amp up the whole car speaker for fear of messing them up, I just want to amp the subs...does anyone have any solutions

At top of the audio forum, there is a post called Ultimate Audio Sticky. There exists a diagram with the wiring colors inside.

Lightbulb Thanks!

I was reading through it when I realized that i dont want to connect my 2000 watt amp to my factory stereo so I ran extentions from the rear speakers, plugged them into the LOC and then connected the amp to the LOC. Thanks for the guidance.

what gauge is your power wire?? for a 1000 watt rms system, I'd recommend at least 1ga wiring. 4ga will be cutting it close. Just make sure you fuse 12" from the battery and fuse within 8" from your amp.

What's the total number of amperage of fuses on your amp?? I'd also recommend using an ANL fuse holder and an ANL fuse. AGU fuses only go to about 80a. I did find 100a AGU fuses online, but they're not that reliable. ANL or Midi fuses are more reliable but still suspectible to popping. A circuit breaker is the most reliable and saves you on having to buy more fuses.

I had an AGU fuse holder that melted from running my system at medium to high volumes for more than an hour. I switched to an ANL fuse holder with 150a fuse and so far no problems.
