Gen6 Eclipse AVN2454 and Camry SE 2010 steering and aux wiring questions, PLEASE HELP!

Hi All,

I just got a 2010 Camry SE with a non JBL radio in it. I had an Eclipse AVN2454 from 2 cars ago sitting in my closet so I decided to connects it. As ive learned here it was plug and play install that took a matter of minutes, however one powered on i realized ive lost my AUX input and my steering controls =( Ive plugged all available plugs into my Eclipse so I made sure i didnt miss anything. There is a black plug that was disconnected hanging below my radio, but it wasnt connected from the factory and my eclipse doesnt have a port for it, so i left it alone although if anyone knows what it is id like to know.

Ive located the wires that go from the AUX jack to the the radio port, ive found where they plug into the eclipse. Looking at the same harness from the eclipse, that harness is (preouts RCA for buttom 7 wires, all others are left open). I dont even know where to begin on the steering wheel controls.

I guess i should take pictures of all plugs and ports in the discussion for easier understanding. Maybe my AVN2454 is such a geezer that its not compatible with those but from what i read it should be. I guess what i really should be asking here, or directly from eclipse is for a diagram of every pin connector on the back of the AVN2454 to know which controls aux and steering and splice those wires into the connecting pin. Any help would be appreciated!

ALSO, theres an antenna on the roof of my car, looks like sat radio. My factory radio has a "sat" button on it but when i hit it there no effect. What would i need to make that work? and if its not sat radio, WHAT IS IT?

THanks to all in advance, im a newbie here but i have a long standing reputation on Maximas.org and Clublexus

You need this for steering wheel:

You don't have an aux output from the Eclipse alone? I installed a Kenwood DNX unit into my Gen6 also, and wasn't able to use the factory AUX input, but the head unit itself had an iPod connection anyways.

I'm not so sure about factory satellite radio.

I read in multiple posts that eclipse doesnt need any additional interface, that it should just work but no one pinpoint how. Yes the unit does have AUX input but then id have wires dangling as the OEM one would be in that discreet location.

Thanks for your input

OEM radio requires a separate Satellite receiver. The head-unit only controls the SAT receiver.

do you think if i get an aftermarket reciever, i can use that antenna for signal? I saw someone take over the pillar covers on the back and i think the plugs for it were there.
