IPOD Interface controls

Ok, so I installed the Toyota IPOD interface but did not get any directions on how to use it such as what radio controls change playlists or anything and I contacted the dealer which sold me the unit and they have yet to be able to give me an answer can anyone help me or is there a file someplace that explains all of the functions? Thanks for the help!

Moving this thread for you so you can pool from a much larger number of Toyota owners. Keeping a redirect, though, for Highlander owners to navigate here.

Cool iPod help

I have the manual for the facotry unit but i cant seem to find a way to post it here. If you would like i can email it to you.
I had this unit and found it to be very hard to work requiring mutiple button presses to get anything done. So i switched to a new unit form Uniq Technology it was much more user friendly. Here is a quick rundown to get you started

Tune up/dn = track up/dn
Tyoe/folder takes you through catorgories ie playlist artist album once you find a catorgory press button 6 this is like the Enter button. once in the catorgory use the tune file to search up and down once you find what you want press 6 again music should start. Like i said It was not intuative for me if i can be of more help let me know
