question about my car

I am having a problem with my car alarm which is in a 92' camry. The battery in the car was dead, so I replaced it with a somewhat used (but working) battery. As I hooked up the positive terminal the alarm would automaticly switch on. No lites, just the horn at a constant honk. What I think happened was when I took out the old battery the alarm was set and forgot (like an idiot) to turn it off. Is there any methods or answers anyone can feed me? I'm totally clueless.

I have a 99 Camry, and i have the vip alarm.. If my alarm goes off and i dont have the remote (valet key) or any other key for that matter.. just stick it in the ignition and turn it to on, off, on, off on off.. and it will eventually go off.. Tell me if that helps!

I am sensing that it's going to be some sort of locked combination that I'm going to need to crack. Would you happen to know to where guide me to find this coding?

And thanks a lot for your help/reply, I appreciate it.

does it honk every time u hook up the battery? you should just hook up the cable to the battery and hit the disarm button. that should do the trick.

*not doing it* ...even put in a new battery (for push button), still nothing.
