USA XM and Blu-Logic bluetooth conflict.

Hi, I am a newbie and in need of info. First Toyota in 11 years.....glad to be back!

Have a 2010 Corolla S with stock audio system, non-JBL, and wanted to install XM and Blu-Logic bluetooth. I have read conflicting reports about the audio system compatability with having both installed in the system.

Does anyone have a concrete answer....much appreciated.

are you particular to the stock sound system?? Aftermarket head units always have the xm and bluetooth built-in or as add-ons and they usually don't have conflicts...just a tight install in the pocket where the head unit goes.

Just got the car, trying to keep cost down. Figured since the stock radio has the capability but just need the XM adapter and Blu-Logic. Figure I could find it cheaper on Ebay.

Just need to know for sure if there is a conflict so I know before I buy. Most people on other sites are saying yes there is an issue. I am sure if there is an issue other Toyota models may have the same problem.

Ok...great! You have a Canadian Corolla, wonder if there is a difference between the Canadian vs US configuration.

I will probably install the XM myself and let the dealer install the Blu-logic, so that way if there is any conflict I can have them yank it back out.

Head-units are identical. The BLU-Logic unit only uses the CD port on the head-unit for muting of the audio, all other functions/circuits are external/independent from the head-unit. See
http://www.trdsparks.com/install/PT546-02080inst.pdf and http://www.trdsparks.com/install/PT9...nstCorolla.pdf for installation instructions. The satellite is very simple but the blue-tooth installation is also simple but does require removal of the head-unit.

Hello Sienna1 ....I came across a thread which showed you installing Blu-Logic P/N PT923-00094 vs PT923-00090 on your Corolla and you have had no conflict with the added XM adapter. I also found the install instructions for PT923-00094, http://www.toyotapart.com/PT923-00094.pdf , and it shows a conflict problem.

Did you do anything special to make your system work? Could the PT923-00094 work differently with Gen10 Corollas.

Is it your understanding that the Head-Unit has a single port whch both the Blu-Logic and XM shares. I think that is where the conflict may occur but yet you have no issues with your installation. Why would the PT923-00094 install instructions state there will be a conflict?

For some strange reason, Toyota Canada decided to use different part#s. All of the Blu-Logic kit are identical except for two different sized buttons. I'm also using the kit with the slightly larger button on my 05 Highlander that also has XM installed. The XM unit is not OEM but it also uses the CD port so that the head-unit does the controlling. I didn't do anything special to allow both systems to operate. All of the installation instructions state that there will be a conflict, but this isn't the case. I also had the same question but being curious went ahead and tried it with positive results.
