Radio Receiver Dilemma

Im going to replace the reciever in my corolla im just not sure which one i wanna get. Iv narrowed it down between these three.

http://www.crutchfield.com/s_113HD94...U.html?tp=5684

http://www.crutchfield.com/s_105KDAH...9.html?tp=5684

http://www.crutchfield.com/s_105KDHD...0.html?tp=5684

Was just lookin for input on what you guys would get. I do plan on replacing all the speakers and adding a single sub at some point in the near future, just not yet, if that makes a difference.

I was also wondering what you guys think of HD radio?

Thanks

FF29

edit-- What else is a another good website for car audio, other then crutchfield

id prefer the JVC's over the pioneer b/c the jvc has variable button lighting to match the dash better... HD radio is better quality though you get commercials in HD too!

no offense but i would not get any of those. none suits my taste for a headunit. once it is installed, it would look old style for my liking. reminds me of my teenage years. if i were to replace the stock radio, i would get those units with 7 inch LCD screen. but as the saying goes: to each his own.

I actually agree with you, i just dont and probably wont have the money for one any time soon some im settling for what i can afford. The large touchscreen interface on the 7 inch units is sweet, and makes life so much easier.

I would also be worried about theft. Im in college, and park on the street right off campus. Iv already had my car broken into for a radar detector so i want a unit i can take the face plate off.

if you get the same jvc dvd deck as i have. The face removes, so it's just as good as your half din players. It's the 810 model for JVC. The whole screen comes off. Good Luck!

I'm particular to kenwoods, but I'd probably opt for the jvc or the 2nd link since it's got a 5v preamp output. Since you'll want a sub later on, that means the sound for the sub will be cleaner and you won't have to overpower like some people do which can damage the sub if you feed it too much power. Overpowering won't hurt as long as you set the amp's gain properly or conservatively.

Thumbs up

First off I personally wouldnt buy anything off of crutchfield. Their prices are highway robbery. I would do research there, but buy maybe on ebay for a good deal. I dont know how much you are planning on spending. But for $40 less than the Kenwood I found this on ebay. I personally prefer Pioneer. I have Pioneer in my car, and they have the same great features as the others. http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-DEH-P610...item20ada0bc55
Let me know what you think. I believe Pioneer is better quality than these others also. In my opinion.

Premier is pioneers top of the line stuff. You can try and check individual manufacturers websites for the best comparisons. I did this not long ago and the more I searched The more I started leaning toward the Pioneers. I have the deh710bt. Great for ipods but no hd. The unit in my previous post does have hd. It has 4v preouts (plenty for 1 or 2 subs) It has the front connect usb like all the others. There are many other Pioneer units also that may have just what you need. Hope this is of some help. Cheers
