Booming after Car is Off?

i have a Sony Xplode as my head unit and a Bazooka bass tube, both were gifts. I went to Best Buy to have them install it. Now WHen I am playing music when the bass hits the lows hard and I turn off the engine. It booms about 8 times, then crackles and turns off... any idea what going on ? Amnybody? Best Buy said they would have to charge me again to look at it....
Thanks

If you do get it checked out (and have to pay), don't take it back to Best Buy...take it to an independent shop.

Sounds like there's residual power in the amp when you turn off the car and it's still trying to play the sub...dunno...just a wild guess.

I thought it might have been something wrong with the amp that is in the tube itself. I will check with the meter I have to see if there is any residual power coming to it, but this would be the third time I had to take it back because they did soemthing wrong. I don't have the money to get it checked out right now, I wonder if there is a way for me to fix it?

Third time?? Check out the wiring yourself. Download a installation guide from crutchfield.com and check out all the wiring. It's not too difficult at all. Make sure your ground points and ground wiring is in check.

take it to a different best buy and tell them to fix it. they should do it for free if the stuff is still under warranty. they might even just replace the stuff.

Ok I checked the wiring, they look identicale to the chart I say on crutchfield... I don't know whats going.. I am going to go to a different best buy and tell them what happened. I am glad I kept those receipts. I just wish I knew what was going on. I don't ant to fry anything by using it.

^ I think that the question was basically answered then....

the cap is holding extra power in it and the amp may not turn off immediately....not sure where it's getting the signal from, but hey....that's most likely the thing that's doing it tho if you ask me...
