2000 Sienna security system problems

My 2000 Sienna XLE (factory installed security system) started locking the doors without being set. When I unlock the door with either the key or the remote, the alarm goes off. I checked the batteries in the remotes, both are at 3.2v. Any thoughts on what may have gone wrong or how to fix this?

Check your main battery also. I've seen instances when the alarm behaves sporadically when the main battery doesn't seem to be holding its charge. Toyota's factory alarm is very sensitive to the changes.

Luc,

Thanks for the suggestion, I checked the battery today and the positive terminal has some corrosion. Cleaned both terminals and checked the voltage and the alternator, both good (13V ~ 14.4V depending on load). I left the battery disconnected for 15 minutes. The system is behaving better, its not locking itself, but the alarm still goes off when you unlock it with the remote. I'm going to check with the dealer on Monday and see if they have any suggestions.
