to much power going into then? wires may be crossed? wires may not be connected all the way? my bet would be to much power going into the speakers. you may have messed up the speakers, but hopefully not.

try getting any kind of speaker just to test the amp if it's broken. so just disconnect your wire feed to your speaker and attach a new short wire attached to your test speaker. then you will definitely know if it's your speaker or your amp. make sure you use a speaker that's working. that's how i diagnose those kinds of issues back in the days. i still would do the same today, if i had that problem. knock on wood. so aight man. my guess is your amp is shot. good luck!

Could be your amp failed temporarily (might be failing completely soon) and burned your speaker. It happened to me once is why I say this. My speakers started Going in/out to max excursion soon I smelled burnt coil and my speaker fried. Replaced speaker and few months later happened again. Had everything checked out and seems the amp was the culprit.
Good luck

also check the ground from the head unit as well. Possible loose ground at the head unit.

The ground at the amp's terminal could also be loose as well.
