Help mounting Infinity Basslink in trunk

Merry Christmas all!

I have a '96 Corolla with an after-market Clarion headunit. It has a pre-amp out and all the wiring is done.

I don't know how to mount the Infinity Basslink in the trunk. I'm not even sure what information to give you other than what I have already given.

Can someone help me get started or point me in the right direction?

do you have the brackets? if so then you just bolt them to the sheet metal trunk floor and there ya go.

you can order the brackets from the infinity site btw.

Yes, assuming you don't drill through the gas tank. Although, personally, after drilling, I'd put Rust Bullet or spray a bit of Rustoleum paint on the exposed metal inhibit rust.

Thanks.

And assuming that I am a novice at drilling into parts of my car that are near gas tanks, are there any easy tips you can provide? (Other than "find someone who knows what they're doing" LOL)

Also, thanks for the paint tip. From the inside of the trunk, I assume?

check the bottom side of the car and see if you can roughly gauge where the gas tank is located. when you drill go slow and you can always reverse the drill to pull it out and check how deep you have gone.
when you've drilled through once, you'll know how thick the metal is and it should be done hill from there!
i would just be cautious if you haven't done it before
