Well, been searching for a bit, can't seem to find what I am looking for..
I am putting a new system in my camry and was wondering as far as the factory JBL AMP is concerned, can I just "un-plug" it and remove it and that is all, or is there more??

yeah that's basically it. just unplug and you don't have to remove the amp if you don't want to. But what year camry do you have?

Amp is under the Pass seat.. My fear was if I unplugged the AMP, something ELSE might not work
I really don't think something isn't going to work if you unplugg the amp, but the speakers that it's hooked up to. But if you redirect your speaker wire feeds to the new system feed then you should be fine. If your really paranoid, why don't you just try what you think, and see what happens. I can tell you for a fact you not going to break anything by unplugging the amp. Just remember the output of the amp(what ever its feeding) needs to be refed or redirected to a new source. Good luck

Toyota usually send all of the power inputs (BATT, IGN) to the AMP which in turn feeds the Head-unit. If this is the case, you'll lose those inputs if you simply disconnect the amplifier connectors.

hence, his title says remove JBL system. So I'm pretty sure that's the Head unit too.

Yes, but if you just disconnect the amplifier..... the various signals at the head-unit connectors will be missing. You'll either have to run your own power or redirect them from the amplifier to the head-unit, same goes for the speaker connections if you plan to use the factory harness.

No kidding, but if he installs a deck, he will have to extend the harness anyway, so I'm not to sure what your point is. All I'm trying to say, it's not that complex. You're trying to make more issues, then there are. he hasn't said anything after the reply, so I'm pretty sure he's good.

Unless you have something constructive to say, you should not try to ridicule or put down another member's comments. I did not insinuate the he didn't know how to install a stereo but was just suppling information that he may not be aware of. The simple fact that someone has asked a question usually means they don't have all the information required. The purpose of any forum is the provide information, experiences and obstacles that one may or have encounted during a specific task. Unlike yourself, most of us don't know everything.

Yeah but what you don't realize everyone doesn't need a long explination, and sometimes when you don't specifically answer one's questions, it makes things confusing. I know what forums is for, and I'm just making sure this guy is not confused by your extra comments.
It's like me asking questions in a car repair forum, I don't know crap about car repair. It's comments that don't answer the question that confuses the the person asking the questions. If they want to know more they will inquire more into it. Just answer the damn question, and you don't have to act like you are a pro. I'm not a pro, I'm just trying to help another member out!

I still don't understand how my stating that you'll lose some outputs at the head-unit's connections if you disconnect the plugs at the amplifier would confuse the issue. Unless I misunderstood something, that was part of his question.
