94 Camry Alarm

Working my neighbors 94 camry--She doesn't have an owner's booklet and I am unsure on how re-set the alarm. The alarm consist of a small toggle switch on the driver's side lower kick panel and a red LED to the left of the steering column. I have disconnect the battery several times but I don't know if you have to flip the swith towards the front of the car or back or if you need to do other thing like lock and unlock the door, put the key in at a point, close one eye, etc, etc. So can someone look at their owner's manual and help me.

In short the car will not start (not a timing belt) but will crank. I did get it started once (was messing with the battery terminals & alarm system????) but pulled the cables to re-clean them and it won't start after that point. I figure she hit the toggle switch and I don't know how to reset it without the owner's manual

Thank to all

Sounds like it's an aftermarket alarm. Try to find the alarm unit itself, then you should be able to go to the manufacturer's web site and download a manual for it.

Smile 94 CAMRY LE ALARM

I'M THE RIGHT GUY TO ASK, BEEN THROUGH THIS SAME DILEMA. AFTER ALOT OF RESEARCH ON MY 94 CAMRY ALARM SYS., PURCHASED VEHICLE USED IN 2003. THE ALARM WAS INSTALLED BY TOYO. DEALER, BUT IT IS NOT A TOYO AUTHORIZED DEALER INSTALL. IT IS A (KARR ALARM ) WITH THE SAME STUPID TOGGLE SWITCH THAT GOES UP OR DOWN OR FRONT TO BACK. BEFORE I GO ON, I NEED TO KNOW IF UNIT IS A KARR ALARM. DOES REMOTE IDENTIFY MAUNUFATURE?

Unhappy 93 Camry Alarm Trouble

I have a 93 camry and the dealer alarm installed. I had disabled or at least thought so becasue the remote wasn't working properly and i didn't really need it. The car worked fine for a long time. But just today i went to change my battery and the car won't start and the lights are flashing as if the alarm was activated again. Can anybody help disable this thing or what i should be looking for. Thankyou

I don't know about how they intalled your alarm, but on my car the aftermarket alarm control unit is on the driver's side, close to the brake pedal to the left, hidden in there.

94 Camry Alarm Kills Car!

I have a 1994 Toyota Camry LE and the dealership installed I'm guessing the KARR Alarm. For years I have had no problem with it. Just recently my car alarm armed my vehicle and now I can not get it to turn off. We changed the batteries in both remotes, and still the alarm is set on the car. The master key earlier the day the alarm set wouldn't even open the drivers side door, I had to get in through the passenger side. We even tried changing the cars battery to a brand new one and still nothing has changed.

I even looked for what was described above and that little toggle switch was for the running lights so that didn't help. I even tried putting up a new thread and this site won't let me. Had to post here. Some one please help!
