Adding Sub to Camry SE 09

Hey guys,

Thought about adding a sub to my SE 09 (JBL). I know nothing about audio but is it even possible? Is it possible with the standard head unit or do I need to find a new one? From the research I have done, it seems possible with the built in head unit with just the sub, amp and a few cables.

If not, what new head unit do you guys recommend?

Thanks for all your help.

its completely doable. all you need is your amp for the sub, your sub and box, a in line converter, and a amp wiring kit. tap your 2 reart speakers for the signal, run your rca's, run your poweer for the amp hook up the speaker wire and there you go.

most aftermarket head units have rear rca inputs for front, rear, sub. It might be easier to go with an aftermarket head unit, get an amp installation kit and hook up directly to the aftermarket. If you stick with the factory head unit that was posted earlier, you can still hook up an amp by tapping into the rear speaker leads. A little tricky if this is your first time fiddling around with car audio.
