1) Can anyone tell me how long this is activated for? Is it for like 3 months or a year or permanant? It's been running for the past 2 weeks when I purchased the car new.

My guess is 3 months, but check with your dealer as it may be a complimentary 1 year subscription, but usually 3 months.

2) On channel XM0 there's a code for my radio. Can I use this code to enable XM streaming on my PC or my cell phone?
|
No. The code on XM0 is to activate your radio via xmradio.com. YOu can get 1, 2, 3 year or lifetime subscription. For every year you purchase you get X amount of months free so the price is discounted. To get it on your pc you have to pay an additional $2.99/month. Which isn't bad. We do that. You sign up at XMradio.com and your credit card is billed for $8.97 every 3 months unless you cancel. NOTE: If you want it both for your car and online you must sign up for XM everything (12.95 month) or XM everything with Best of Sirrius (16.99 month) as those are the only packages that allow for the Online upgrade. You can get just the online version if you wish. NOTE: The price will show X amount yet you will be charged about $40 extra (that doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere on their site) for licensing rights (royalties).
If you have an Iphone or a Blackberry you can get an app to listen on your phone, but I don't know the cost or how it works.

3) The XM service doesn't seem to include Sirius Howard 100 / 101 . Is it there perhaps at some other location which I'm not finding?
|
If you have XM radio, and it's the complimentary version you will only have the XM everything package($12.95/month if you renew) which does not include the Best of Sirrius. To get that you need to subscribe to it and it's 16.99/month or $4 more than the package you have now.

4) Is the little painted box antenna on the roof of the car over the back window for XM or is it used if I add a navigation system?
|
I thought it was strictly the antenna for XM radio, but it might be used for navigation also. I don't have Navigation so I can not say with certainty.
