6.5" Infinity Speakers fit an 03 RAV4?

I want to replace the factory ones & I decided on Infinity 6.5 (replace stock ones)

I went on Crutchfield & it said 6.5" Infinity speakers (and a couple other brands) in general won't fit. I'm guessing they are talking a direct swap won't work and some minor modifications would have to be done.

Has anyone replaced their rav4 (2001-2005) with Infinity speakers? What modifications did you have to do? I'm curious before I decide to get them or might have to get a brand that I can swap directly..

My guess is that the speaker depth is the concern. You can probably make a spacer with MDF and a scroll saw or band saw. Have you taken apart your door to see what your speaker looks like?

are you going to put an amp to power those infinity speakers or just use the factory amp??
