Tricks to get a stuck CD out?

I have a 2009 Limited with Navigation. In CD slots 3 & 4 the CDs are stuck. In the Highlander specific forum there was not much luck. So I figured I would expand to the entire Toyota range. I believe other models share the same 4 disc JBL Nav changer setup like mine.

I loaded 4 perfectly fine (meaning factory legit, no labels) CDs and played discs 1 & 2, and while driving the player went to change to disc 3 an clicked and clicked and finally said CD error.

When I got to work, I ejected all, and the first two Cds came out, and the unit clicked some more and now has determined I have NO CDs in the unit.

The screen shows all 4 slots empty. I can load Cds back into slots 1 & 2 and play, but it is like my 4 disc changer is now a 2 disc change.

This is my second time with this. The first the car was 3 weeks old and the dealer replaced the unit and returned my cd via mail. They claimed it was the security label from the library CD. In this case, I used factory made Cds, no labels.

I am hesitant to take it in as the repair took 4 days the last time with no loaner and it was a major hassle.

Is there a way to force eject CDs?

Anyone else suffering from stuck CDs in this Nav/JBL/CD Unit?

One method for getting stuck CDs out that's worked for a lot of people is to disconnect the battery. Doing that will often result in the stuck CD ejecting the next time the unit is powered up, but you lose all your settings in the process. If that doesn't do the trick you may be forced to remove the entire unit from the dash and get to the CD that way, but that's definitely a last resort.

OK, not sure if I did this properly, but I took off the red terminal for 10 minutes.

The clock was shot and the station presets. All Nav info and MPG info, et remained.

CDs still stuck.

1. Did I not take it off for long enough?
2. Would removing the fuse for the radio overnight accomplish the same thing?
3. Or is it just not going to work.

According to what I've read from members if it was going to work it would have worked regardless of how long the battery was disconnected. If the CD player is truly jammed then the only way I can see to get it out is to remove the whole unit, and that won't be fun. Then again, you're probably still under warranty so just take it to the dealer and let them handle it. If you do end up letting a service center take care of the issue make sure to warn them about the plastic in the Highlander, as you know how easily it can get scratched.
