Help me spend 600 bucks. Corolla system

Hey all. I am new to this forum and just bought my 2004 Toyota Corolla LE Desert Sand Mica. I love the car. I wanted to take out the stock system and spend about 600 beans on a new one. I would like a cd and 6 speakers if possbile. Can this be done? Any good systems out there for a newbie? I don't have alot of cake but would be willing to spend more if it's worth it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Guys/Gals!

A good deck will cost you around 220 bucks or so. It seems like you have components, so that will run you about 150-200. And for your rear 6x9 or whatever you have, you can get a good one from 100-150. Wiring and installation should set you a little over 600 if you get it professionally installed, and under 600 if you do it yourself.

Decks recommended: Alpine (one with V-drive...4x60 watts). Alpines push enough deck power that you probably will not need a 4 channel amp.

Components Recommended: Infinity References (only about 115 on ebay). Nice clean speakers that dont require much power.

Rear speakers: May as well get a matching set of speakers, so get infinity references also. Ebay has it for around 70 bucks or so. This should set you well under 600 bucks.

If you want a really really SQ system, you will be spending over a grand.

Seriously these are the best speakers you can buy for the money so definately get them. If you do go with a 4 channel amp 4 speaker setup set the HPF at around 80 Hz

And definately do get a 4 channel amp, especially for COMPONENTS. The V-Drive on the Alpines is pretty useless, it put out 10 more watts PEAK per channel thats like 3 watts more RMS which is nothing.

Rear speakers: doesn't really matter its just for midbass anyway... i would set your LPF at around 80 Hz or lower

The decks I reccomend? Clarion. ikesound.com or thezeb.com get one with MP3. (maybe this one: http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2038 it has a built in HD so you can record music off your CDs onto it)
If you wanna save a little maybe get one of last years models at:
http://www.thezeb.com/Clarion.aspx?R...anufacturer=10

hey look $165 for a 4 channel amp, it'll leave room for rear speakers later on: http://www.avionixxusa.com/ep/db4440.htm

So let's see: thats $150 for the fronts, $285 or less for the head unit that leaves you with $165 for a 4 channel amp and wiring. Actually just get a nice 2 channel amp for the fronts, and leave the rears how they are, like I said before they're just rearfill for midbass.
