Cutting the rear parcel shelf support.

goal? to put 2 x 8 inch small enclosure subs where the rear parcel shelf would be. [where the rear speakers go]

If i were to cut away the middle portion of that area so that i can fit a sealed/vented box would that hamper the structural integrity of the car? Meaning will it ruin the chassis as a whole?
