Alarm Distance

My alarm's distance really sucks. Sometimes I can't even activate the autostarter from inside off my house, which is the reason I got the remote start in the first place. Is there anyway that I can increase the distance my remote can activate my alarm by adding an antenna or something? Thanks

Depending on the alarm system you have you can purchase an extended receiver. A fresh battery will help as well.

The alarm system I had is the one that came with the car when I purchased it Checkmate I believe and later on I added an autostarter to it. How do I find out whether or not I can add on an extended reciever?

CompuStar FM

You should get a CompuStar alarm. It has the best distance. Extremely good. I can sell you one for $350 CAN + shipping. If you are interested PM me. I'm a authorized dealer so it comes with full warranty.
