will a phoenix gold M50 power a Kicker L7?

I have an old Phoenix Gold M50 amp that I bought years ago brand new and am still using to this day. A few years ago I used it power a Rockford Fosgate 10".

Now I'm thinkin' about gettin' a 12" sub and I'm lookin' into possibly purchasing a Kicker Solo Baric L7 12in Sub.

Will my Phoenix Gold M50 be strong enough to power the Kicker Solo Baric L7 12in Sub.

If so.. how do I need to configure it?

thanx a bunch..!!!!

Well it should "power" it, albeit under powered sound. I'm trying to say you will be able to get some juice out of it, but your limited.

Well i have a 12L7 and am using an audiobahn 8000t 800 watt mono amp to completely power it. The rms on the sub is 750 and you really don't want to underpower it due to the risks of blowing the sub. Also, the sub assumes the use of a subsonic filter set to about 25hz. you might wanna check up on that as well because it limits the rms to around 400 watts without the filter. good luck!

you cant blow the sub by underpowering it unless you start clipping the amp

also the L7 can take much more power than the 750 watts RMS it's rated at

Have you seen the new Crossfire VR4000D? 4000 watts from a Crossfire amp. Sells for close to $1000.

Talk about resurrecting an old freakin' thread!
So here I am, 3 yrs later asking myself this same exact question when I start looking up L7s on eBay again. Then I wonder to myself will my Phoenix Gold M50 power this amp.
Sooooo.. I Google "Phoenix Gold M50", and the first link that Google comes up with is this exact thread! Man did I get a helluv a laugh knowing that I asked this question over 3 years ago. hahaha....
Just thought I'd share this lame ass moment I'm having.
