custom stereo finished!
well.....here are the pics...they don't really do much justice but here it is.
this is what i have:
alpine iva-d900 multimedia station w/ dvd player
playstation 2
gamecube
phoenix gold bass cube
jl 500/1 amp
voodoo 1.2 farad rack mountable cap
2 JL 12w3V2
completely custom box w/ amp rack and streetglow neon

Thats sweet! So clean. Did you put fans in where the amp is? Do you have pics of it while you were making it?

yea, there is an intake and vent fan in the amp rack, one on the left one of the right....those little suckers move alot of air....

yea, i can see how that would be interesting.......i just didn't think of it at the time, lol.
oh....and you can't tell in the pics, but the JL logo between the subs is painted the same color green as the car...just a nice lil touch

Just a question, but how do you get to the spare tire? I want to do something like that but still need to get to the spare.

you go into the garage and grab it off the floor....lol
the cap is down into the spare tire well.......no more room for that

How does the sound get to the front of the car since there isnt any opening for the sound to travel to the front?
Did the bass get softer than before you built the custom enclosures?

its the same thing........how does sound get through a "normal" box?
its actually louder since its custom fitted to the car....

its bass, deeper hz, longer wavelength it will have no prob in going through some MDF, My box is set up almost the same way and it definately has no probs
if it was a tweet on the other hand which is directional, it wouldnt work
