alarm / parking lights-chirpping

I haven't had a prob with my almost 9 year old Prestige alarm until recently.

Parking lights stay on after armming and don't go off after disarmming. Also, the chirpping order has changed. One chirp now disarms the system while two chirps arm the system. Problem is whenever I leave my car the system disarms after 30 seconds leaving all my door unlocked. I then have to do a manaul lock.

Could it be the module? Wiring? The parking light problem has already caught me off guard once and I came back to a dead battery the next day.

Please help.

have you tried resetting the alarm? normally there should be a reset switch on the module itself

There's no visible reset switch. I pulled the main harness out of the module then put it back in thinking this might reset it but I still have the same problems.

Frustrating for sure.
