Mounting Camera for Your Viewing Pleaser.....

I'm wondering how I should go about mounting a video camera inorder to tape races/rallys/top outs. I know one person did it. I think it was Gibson (who mounted it on the center armrest). I'm looking to mount it so I can look out the front windshield and to aim on at the gauge cluster. Any help would be great. Thanks.

My friends made a camera pod with industrial suction cups. They run their cars hard as hell and it's never come off. Usually mount it on the hood or the roof of the car aiming down on the road.

Hmmm... Maybe that's what they used on Race Through Stockholm. Great video series, everyone should check it out. Do they cups leave any marks/easy to remove?

You have to put alittle water on em to get em to stick firmly. They dont leave any marks you can't wipe off with a towel. To remove them you have to pull a tab on the suction cup. Pretty easy. Basic tripod style with suction cups on the feet. And a flat mounting plate with threading for a screw to go into the camera.
