Thank you for all the help provided to install my system it sounds really good and I'm very happy with it.
Panasonic CQ-DFX983U CD/MP3/WMA 50 x 4
Infinity Kappa 63.5 6 3/4" in the front
Infinity Kappa 693.5 6" x 9" on the rear
Lightning audio S4.600 4-channel amp
Now, what I need is a little more bass, nothing too loud, just want good quality bass to help the speakers. what would you guys recommend. Budget=$300.00
If you have a budget of 300 for subs which is pretty good. You probably could get 2 Vegas. Maybe 3 It sounds like a SQ setup you are lookin for. My personal SQ picks are Kenwood, Infinity, PolkMoMo, Audiobahn and Vega. I mean these are in your price range.... Can't tell you which one's are better sounding cause they are all sound quality subs But I can tell you what each one's weakness. So take listen to these. Or if you got some other choices I would like to hear too.

He has $300 including wiring, amp and subs I'm assuming. I'd go with something like the Infinity Basslink or a self powered Bazooka/Audiobahn tube.
^^ you're right $300.00 for everything I need
so, will the Infinity Basslink give me the bass I'm looking for?
any idea about the quality of those self powered subs?
personally, i would just save up more money......don't go cheap it audio or you will be dissappointed, i did this at first....and i like it for a while until i heard a nicer stereo......then i went out and spent 5 g's on a stereo, lol
but anyway, i say save up more and get nicer stuff instead of trying to go cheap
^^If I could save 5 g's I'll buy another car
I don't need anything fancy.. just something that sound decent, I drive almost 120 miles everyday, and I don't wanna get deaf with the loudness, just wanna enjoy my ride.
If you save about 200 bucks more you can get a better setup. 500 total is reasonable. My fault when you said subs I thought you meant only subs. Stll could get some of those subs spending a 150 total. And I'm talking two subs. A decent amp 250-300 to power both. Still in the range that you are looking for. I think holding out for at least 200 bucks more will make really happy with your setup.
P.S. I'm giving you NYC prices which are ridiculously high.
If all you're looking for is taking some bass off the speakers and actually hear the lows the Basslink is a great buy. If you want something loud you should save up. I'd go with the basslink before an audiobahn/bazooka self-powered.

To simply top up the bass a bit, I think you'd be more than happy with a low power 8-10 inch. I'm running a little fosgate 8" with a mere 140 watts from an Alpine T220 amp and find the quality to be substantially better than the boomy stuff many install. A better sub would clean it up some more, but I haven't heard much better and none that made me want to replace it. Quality over quantity I guess. For your arrangement however, you may want to run into the 200w range to keep up with the capability of the speakers, but again, a small sub will do the job for you, and can be assembled for under $300.
Well subs between 100-300 watts rms are usually have a high quality sound. Why?? I dont know. But they usually play good frequencies and have high db levels. Why??? I don't know. You could pick just about any sub and they will play clean as a MF in this power range.
That's why I stated earlier that I couldn't tell him which sub is better. They basically sound the same. But they are subs like audiobahn and vega that can handle more pwr than other subs with the same power rating. These particular subs are very high quality (in material makeup) which allow them to handle more than there rated numbers. My first sub was a bazooka, which was a freakin waste of cash. But didn't know any better In a short period of time maybe a month a blew it. Then I replaced it wit Kenwood which was the most impressive sub I have ever bought. Meaning bang for the buck Kenwood did the job. Then I went with vegas and now audiobahn.
If I had help or somebody with experience and some decent know how I wouldn't have wasted money on certain subs. I would have saved up waited for something better. I don't want anybody to be as stupid as me and continue a search for a sub. Think I should only bought 2 different sets total. Instead I move up little by little. You are better off with something a little more than just enough.
What I would do is buy the preloaded polk momo 10 or 12" sub (the one in the plexiglass box). Then I would look on ebay and buy the alpine f-200 mono amp (i think thats the right model number). The amp pushes about 350 rms and only costs about 145 shipped. If you look hard enough, you could find the polk momo sub for about 100 bucks. I seen them at Fry's electronics for 100 bucks. Wiring is gonna cost you 50 bucks max... and the total should come out little under budget. This system isn't going to be ear-poping, back massaging loud, but it will be loud enough.
Or instead of the polk sub, you could probably buy almost any cheap sub by a respectable company and it will sound decent. For example a mtx 6000 series sub, but you would have to buy/make a box.
