First off, yes this thread is OLD. But I need some help doing this rewiring!
Phi, can you possibly re-upload your photos to a new website? The link on the OP is dead.
Thanks for reading!

hmmm i never thought of doing this upgrade, i got a yellow top for my V6 3.1 Buick, then i swapped it out when that car died to this car, and the rolla seems stronger and all the lights are brighter. Car cranks really hard now and i can literally listen to all 2000 watts (give or take) on 25 out of 35 volume, fulllllll bass, for over an hour and the 'rolla starts right up. If i did upgrade the ground wire and power wires, would that make much of a difference at this point? the car only had like 30K on it so im not sure if its even worth the time, money and hassle?

Yes this Big 3 upgrade would really help even if you had a yellow top or Kinetik battery. The larger gauge wiring just opens up the current draw on your system since the factory wiring is very small like 6 or 8ga. Typically you want to use 1 or 0 ga wiring. You can choose to replace the wiring but usually people just add onto it.

quick question: I'm planning on doing this mod/upgrade, and I wanna know do I need a dedicated ground terminal like this 4 AWG one?
I wasn't planning on using 1 AWG due to money constraints and because I don't have anything big running on my electrical system, so I was thinking of just using 4 gauge for both positive and negative, which is why I linked to the 4 AWG ground.
regardless of wire gauge, do I need a ground terminal? is it necessary? I know you didn't mention one in the OP but I'm curious if anyone uses one when upgrading?
