Almost done building sub box...

Well, some of you know that I'm custom building sub enclosures. Well, so far I have built an enclosure about 40" across and around 12"-13" high. The box has been completely sealed in the insides using liquid nails. This box will contain 2 -10" JL W3 subs and the in the center I'm still not decided. That is why I need your opinion.

Should I throw in an extra battery and connect it to the one in the engine bay, or should i custom build a rack to put on an amp that is behind plexi-glass?

If it were me, I'd build a shelf and put beef jerky, chips, etc... in it. If I was trying to impress a girl, maybe a shoe rack. You could also stick mirrors in it like the magicians do and make it look like a capacitor is floating. Otherwise, an amp seems like a logical thing to do. Or maybe even a neon floating JL Logo. Oh, the possibilities.

get an amp and open up the bottom to display it as if it were floating and glowing there and you can see all the internal also put an amp meter on the power wire so you can see it move back and forth

if you're going to make it float, you still have half a box to fill..so maybe a small battery could help.

the bottom was built with 2 pieces of 1/2" MDF put together, and the rest was built with 3/4" MDF. Box is heavy as hell though.

Amp rack, just put fans in as well to keep the amp cool.

Here's an update on the progression of the box:

Next step: Fiberglassing! *crosses fingers and hopes not to f--- it up*

I'd suggest making a complete front baffle and fiberglassing over that.
