How do you get out the stock head unit an a new gen. corolla?

I need to get out the head unit in an '04 corolla, i'm going to put in a system and all. I can't get it out though. I notice it's by clips but don't want ot break them. Where are the clips so I can take them out carefully? Any help is appreciated. THank you.

Well, that really depends. There's the easy way, which involves a chisel, a car alarm and a cloth to wrap around your hands as you break through the window;

or there's the hard way, and who wants to do THAT?

jk, I have no idea. I recommend you go down to an autoparts store and buy a cheap repair manual- it'll have all the locations of the clips and it's worth it especially if you're doing so much audio work that you need to take off the door panels, etc.

Or, it's a toyota, the clips won't break, just go slowly with a flathead around the length of the paneling. WATCH OUT FOR SCREWS. Might want to remove the trim around the shifter if it looks like there might be screws hiding under it first
