Im looking into purchasing some high end SQ components. Anyone have any experience. I'm debating over the Image Dynamics chameleons, the diamond hex's, Focals, rainbows, a/d/s.
lets say with a budget of 500$ not retail but like on ebay
Anybody you've mentioned makes good stuff. If I was to do my front stage all over again, I would seriously consider the CDT 6.5 components with the StageFront™ UpStage™ system. When I heard these, just recently, I could not tell the speakers were working. The music truly sounded up front and spread across the dash about a foot or two away.
Just so you know, average speakers with a top notch install will always sound better than top notch speakers with an average install.
but if you don't want to spend hours tuning, go with rainbow or a/d/s
jbl and infinity arent very high end (also, infinity perfects are way too harsh).
CDT is pretty decent, but the Eurosports are out of your price range... the HD's are pretty decent though, but I'd prob go with the ID cham's so I wouldn't be riding the bandwagon. Diamond Hexes are good but there's much better out there. Focal is good, but their speakers are very deep and don't have much midbass.

Out of your list Focals are nice, but you cant go wrong with DLS Ultimate Iridiums 6.2 or 6.3's. Image Dynamics are pretty decent, Alpine F series if you can afford them. I hear alot of good things about CDT's for the money.
Stay away form Diamond, that stuff is cheap and pricey.
JBL? ok, yeah, right.
Midline components...Adire Kodas, JL's, MB Quarts will do
