Yes, the door sill panel will pop up, with a bit of force. Don't worry about the rubber weatherstrip that comes up if the clip doesn't detach from the panel. You can detach it later and just put the clips back, and you'll see the protrusion left from the clips. There's a black plastic screw that holds down the kickpanel, so make sure you twist that off first, then it will pop out towards the center of the car.

Nope, I've lived in Chicago all my life since 1980. I've only stopped by Houston to visit the Space Center a long time ago.

Yes, it's a good school, but I didn't go there, only to show irony of the words.

Should I install additional relays?

Hi Racer_Rodney and Luc! I have not installed my starter yet - too cold and snowy outside. Still collecting helpful advices...
My UNGO installation guide says:
Pin 6 - Brown/White: Horn Honk (-) output. [500mA]
Connect to a relay to honk the vehicle horn.
Pin 9 - Black/White: Dome Light (-) output. [500mA]
Connect to a relay to turn on the vehicle’s dome light with disarm/unlock.
I realize that 500 mA is not enough to honk a horn or to light up a dome light. But does it means I have to install those two additional relays, or I have to find them somewhere in my car? If I have to install, what type/brand of relay should I buy?
thank you

You can get a Bosch or Hella SPDT 30-amp relay. That will give you enough current to run almost any trigger-related wire. The relay pack for your remote start is just like it.

For the horn, you will most certainly need a relay, since that require good amount of current that the Ungo can't put out. For the door trigger, you most likely don't need to since it's not always pulsing like the horn.

I actually got a few realys from radio shack, I think they are Bosch. but yeah 500mA is plenty to trigger the relay. Alot of alarms havethe output for these kinds of things but they don't supply the realys, to ease with DIY'rs. if it is installed at a shop chanses are they have a selection of relays on hand.

the horn trigger on mine got minotinous along with the chirps so I disabled it after about a month, but I love the dome light, gives me a warn and fuzzy when my wife is laoding the kids that she can see the contents of the car before she opens it (no lurking weirdows)
