Speaker Install... WTF

Im sure this has been discussed... but I went to install my 6x9 Pioneers... I get the back panel off (which took forEVER), and i look at the speakers... and they have some goof ass bolt pattern!!! WTF... how do i get around this?!?!

you drill new holes... you will also find that you speakers may not fit into the holes all the way... i got around this by bending the lower lip of the speaker hole with some pliers. but yes drill holes.

into the car not the speakers right. That is what I would do . Just put em in and mark the new hole spots with a sharpie or something.

Make baffles with 3/8" MDF, copy the pattern of the stock speaker mark where the hole are drill holes, make a cut out of the 6x9 in the baffle, cut the hole, and mount

you guys bitch about having to make new holes, holy crap, try putting 6x9's in a gen2....

such a holy pain-in-the-ass!

we got those crappy 3.5's up front and 5.25's in the rear. takes custom everything to get decent speakers in there.
