i need to know what i need to upgrade my speaker system

my dad has a 92 camry, and the stock speakers suck. i want something that hits hard, and ive settled on 2 10" MTX Thunder 8000. I also leaning on getting a pair of pioneer 4-way speakers on the side speakers. im going to get a 1000w amp, and a brand new deck.

Im relatively a novice at this, i know the basic compenents, but not anything else. what is a crossover? and all that other confusing stuff. i am not installing it, im going to let somebody else do it for me. i just need to get the parts. what else do i need?

also, is it possible to have 2 4-way speakers in the front, a pair tweeters and another pair of subs in the back?

Do some research through here first.

You want to add 4-way speakers and another pair of tweeters to the front? Why in the world do you want to do that? By adding more speakers doesn't make it necessarily sound better, it's all about tonal balance.

Yes.

Do some research.

no i want tweeters in the back. im afraid the subs are going to overpower all the treble and high notes. im hoping extra tweeters in the back can help out.

i want them in the back because i think anyone in the back seat wont be able to hear anything except for bass.

or should i get rid of the 4-way speakers all-together? will the tweeters be able to hold up by themselves? im getting the pioneer premier ones.

The subs will not overpower the highs, it may drone out a lot of the music, but you'll still hear it. You will be sitting in the front about 99% of the time, why have extra tweeters in the rear? It's a waste, IMO.

The best test is to actually listen to the speakers yourself with the music that you listen to. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that 3-, 4-, or 5-way speaker sets are better than the traditional 2-way. With the amount of road, engine, and whatever noises you'll have in the car, having those extra-way speakers will do minimally to improve music reproduction.
