Hey does anyone know if Audiobahn is a good brand of amp. And what is a good number of watts. Also isn't mono amps sucky? And does the sub and sub box have to have a glass or is it just for looks?

Thanks

Audiobahn amps are ok. Better than most. But not great stuff. Some people might say they suck but to me they are no worse than a Hifonics. The multi channel audiobahn amps are good but the mono amps are average.

Mono amps in general have a higher THD% than a multichannel amp. But the upside is a less internal resistence in the amp allowing a mono amp to produce higher wattage than said.

camry

I've read that mono amps are best for bass. Hey I have a question about chameleon paint. Can you make any colors. or does it have to be certain colors like purple and blue and stuff or can u make it any color change to any color? I want a cream white change to a midnight blue. with sparkles

Also whats the biggest rims can fit on a 88' camry?

Thanks...

I've seen 18's on a Camry, but I think for performance sake, most would recommend 16's.

Lot's of power is best for bass. Try 1.5(rms) per sub.

Look up the manufacturers website for reccomended watts rms per sub. And it will be more like 200+ watts rms per sub. check here

Also check out www.carreview.com for owner reviews of their product. Class d amps will in most cases draw less power from your electrical system compared to a class ab amp with the same wattage. And usually a class d amp is more stable at lower ohm's.
Class ab amps are better suited to drive your mids and highs due to the lower thd (total harmonic distortion) percent.

Stay away from Audiobahn and Sony, you can get good deals on ebay for amps and subs.

get a JBL bp 300.1 for a sub or the 600.1 depending on the subs.
