8" stock speakers???

You ought to think about upgrading your front speakers, they will be playing the majority of the music. Unless, of course, you're like my friend Mike, who would think nothing of putting two 15's in stock system, running off the head unit and thinking it was the baddest thing on earth.

I would consider other brands besides Xplode. Their reputation is suspect.

Have fun with your system.

sounds promising, i know this because i already have that headunit and a jl in the trunk along with the boston acoustics rounding out the interior. check out the link in my sig. good luck on your quest for thunder. also, if i were you i would skip the xplodes and run off nothing until i have the money for the jl setup. dont waste your money on something to get you by til you get the real stuff.

I have a 2002 Echo with a clarion VRX935VD (complete with PS2), 4 JL 2" tweeters, 6 JL 5.25 VR evolution mid's. Those are powered by 2 menphis 800w amps.....my 2 JL W7 13" subs are powered by 2 1100w menphis amps. Good luck with the new system, it sounds awesome, except for the stock 8". Don't be foolish, you know your gonna drop the jl's in there

You can do that. Just be sure to use some silicone or some type of sealant so you do not have any air leaks.

um you got pics of this set up, how is the imaging up front, what type of time alignment formula did you use for so many speakers, your pushing 2700 watts what power source are you using to support that much power.
