Installing gaming consoles...

I was wondering if anyone has installed any consoles in their car? I have a chipped PS2 which I had paid $400 for (a year ago) and always thought about doing this. My main concern was I heard that most people end up frying their PS2 because of voltage problems. I'd like to know if anyone knows of this problem or something similar before I do end up installing it.

If you want to hook up a PS2 in your car, I'd get a power inverter from Radio Shack or someplace similar.

Yes, someone told me that. But apparently they still had problems. I dont know how much of a risk I would be running doing all this, thats why I want to know if anyone has done this

make sure it's not a cheap power inverter. 700watts is a good start.

honestly Ps2's dont last very long in a vehicle. The hard drive just cant take any serious bouncing around. I cant tell you how many we have put in customers cars to find out 3-4 months later they are dead. I find that XBOX's tend to last ALOT longer. And modding them is easier

Possibly because the Xbox can't bounce around because it weighs as much as the car
